Jing - New Features of Pro Version 2.1

 alt="Jing - New Features of Pro Version 2.1"
 width="102"
 height="86" />

The is to remind myself of the new features in Jing Pro 2.1. Firstly, hold down the Shift or Control key when dragging out a selection area to snap-to an Aspect Ratio. Secondly, the magic swop between iSight webcam and the selection area being recorded at any time during a recording. Both very nice features.

[Jing is a video and still screen capture application] available on both Windows and Mac with a free and yearly subscription Pro version. I am using the Pro version.

Below are both the Screenflow recording and the Jing recording that was captured during the Screenflow screen capture

Finder - How To Show Super-sized Icons

This is a screencast to remind me how to show super-sized icons in the Finder of Mac OS X.
I read the tip by Rob Griffiths on MacWorld.

I show filtering the icons by using "jpg". You can also filter by "jpg" OR "png" to only show both those image types.

The search can also be saved to the Finder Sidebar if it is something you will want to use again.

I show the tip with photos but it works well with any icons from applications that saves meaningful thumbnails. For example, in a folder containing Sandvox Site Documents, use "svxsite" to just see the Site Document icons. This works even when the Site Documents are nested within folders.

Finder - How To Show Super-sized Icons from Neil Boyd on Vimeo.

Sandvox - Navigation Arrows Turn Off

By default, navigation arrows are added to pages in a photo grid indexed collection such as Photo Album added to the Home Page. The Navigation arrows for the 'child' collection are controlled in the Inspector for the Home Page or parent of the child collection. This video shows where to turn them off.

Prior to and including Sandvox 1.6, multiple images can be added in a single batch using the Media Browser.
Sandvox - Dragging Images from the Finder

 alt="Sandvox - Dragging Images from the Finder"

This shows that in Sandvox 1.6, multiple images can be dragged onto a Rich Text page directly from the Finder.

Sandvox - Show Package Contents of Site Document File

This shows how to see the media files that have been added to a Sandvox Site Document file.

Note: this is not the exported website. These are the media files that Sandvox uses to build the website when publishing or exporting.

What the Site Document package contains is determined by the setting in the Inspector:-
Inspector : Site : Media : Keep media originals with document: [option]

From Sandvox version 1.5 onwards, this can be changed to: [Copy all files (larger documents)] at any time, making the Sandvox Site Document contain all media files added to the site.

To see the files that Sandvox is using to create the website, go to the Sandvox Site Document in the Finder and use the 'Show Package Contents' to see all the files of the site. Important: Do not start deleting files, move or rename items because it will confuse Sandvox.
