PDF Documents Add to Sandvox Site

It is possible to have PDF documents in a Sandvox created website. They can be added as a 'download' on a collection page or linked to from text. Whether they are displayed on the end-users browser or immediately downloaded when the end-user clicks on the link depends on which browser they are using and what plug-ins they might have.

It is possible to add a [link from the text] (link opens pdf) to a PDF document that is hidden by unchecking-->Include in collection index (link opens image).

You can add a text link from a Rich Text page but have the PDF 'File Download' page elsewhere in the Site Outline of the Site Document. This may be a Collection Download List called 'pdfs' in you keep all you PDF 'File Download' pages. The collection 'pdfs' could be hidden by unchecking both Include in site map and Include in collection index.

If you have added a collection page, you can -->change the Collection type or Index type after adding the page from the Inspector which will change how the link to the PDF is displayed if it is included in the collection index. This collection index page is using the Photo Grid index and displays the Thumbnail of the pages in the collection Sorted Title List .

A more complete step-by-step tutorial is sitting, glowering at me as yet finished. In the meantime, see the [Video - Drag and Drop PDF] to watch one way to add a PDF.
