cPanel - File Manager File Edit

One way to edit a file on the web server is to use the File Manager in cPanel. This is the method I used to edit the BannerZest file in order to have a banner in the header of a Sandvox site.

In cPanel: Click on File Manager

Choose the site you want to work with and Click Go

I have have more than one domain, you may not.

File Manager will open in a new browser window

File the folder where you published the file you want to edit

Double click on folder to open folder

This is the contents of a BannerZest banner folder

Check the file to edit

Click Edit toward the top of the window

Choose utf-8 and the encoding format

Find the text to edit

Replace the text

Save Changes
