Using Sandvox 1.6 (9603) onwards and Disqus Weblog Comments as set in the

Inspector > Properties > Weblog Comments > Disqus

I used just the Disqus "shortname" not "shortname.disqus.com" to make this work.

When Published - The Collection page shows '0 Comments' not 'View Comments'. If you see 'View Comments', your 'Site's short name:' in the Sandvox Inspector is wrong.

Please note: You do NOT need Sandvox Pro to Add Disqus comments from Sandvox 1.6 onwards.

There was a problem with the Dark Design and Disqus comments which has been fixed.

Note [Fixed in Sandvox version 1.6.2]:

This is the 'Smooth Dark' Sandvox Design. I needed to add the following CSS to - Site > SITE Code Injection... > Head Area : [Bottom Box]

<style type="text/css">
#dsq-content { overflow:hidden; }
</style>

This stops the scroll bars appearing on comments.

This is fixed in Sandvox 1.6.2b2 and will be in the version 1.6.2 release.

Post Two

arrow-sm This weblog post page has had the sidebar removed. This was to see if the scroll bars caused by the Disqus comment box would disappear which it does not. These scroll bars area on some Design but not others.

Post Three

arrow-sm Post 3. The Disqus code has been added manually using Sandvox Pro to see if the over-sized comment box is still a problem. It is.

It also demonstrates the problem of comment boxes showing through on to the Collection's index page. As well, manually added comments don't have the Comment Count on the Collection index page without some extra work.

It's a load easier to add Disqus comments by enabling them in the Inspector.

When Disqus Comments is set up correctly, it shows Disqus Comments on the page in Sandvox.

When Published - The Collection page shows 0 Comments not View Comments
